Come join All About Tea in DC!!

If you love you Tea, this is the place to be. Whether you enjoy black - Assam, Ceylon; Earl Grey; Green - Sencha, genmeicha or gunpowder green tea; White teas; Blends or Herbals (including Rooisbos), we all have one thing in common - Tea. It soothes the soul, helps you think and it's good for you!

Did you know that Tea is the #2 beverage that is drunk all over the world next to water? Tea comes from the Camellia Seninses leaf. The five major areas in the world that started cultivating Tea according to Tea history are: China, Japan, Taiwan - formerly known as Formosa, India and Ceylon - now known as Sri Lanka. Other parts of the world have started cultivating tea such as Brazil, Nepal, South Africa, eastern African countries, Korea, Iran and two well-known plantations in the U.S.

Feel free to upload recipes, locations and ideas on our message board.

Take the tea test provided by TeaUSA.org at http://www.teausa.org/general/teatest/teatest9.html

We try to have an afternoon tea every few months.

"If everyone drank one cup of tea a day, the world would be a better place."
