My friend Jodi, owner of Sympathy for the Kettle, is hosting a free and educational tea tasting this Saturday. I wont be able to attend myself, but encourage all who are interested in the medicinal properties of tea to attend. Jodi will be focusing on six herbs in the kitchen which are great for healing when utilized in teas.
This meet-up will be a "meet on your own style"... I am setting the time for Noon, though Jodi will be holding the tasting from 11-2pm. If you go, please tell Jodi Kiki sent you... Sympathy for the Kettle is easy to spot, it is located on St. Marks Place between 1st and A... and it has a pink exterior!
Here is the tea tasting summary: 6 simple herbs everyone needs in their kitchen cabinets for a litany of different ailments. We will be discussing the multiple healing properties from allergy prevention, digestion issues, restlessness, and many more. Included are the multiple use of herbs in teas, cooking and therapeutic baths.
Sympathy for the Kettle is the delightful spot I have mentioned to many of you. It is small, quaint and stocked with fresh and tasty teas. Jodi puts her heart and soul into the place and it shows. I enjoy visiting for a pot of tea and lavender bread (it's delicious!). It is one of my favorite spots to meet new and old friends for tea and conversation.
Enjoy!
